Product Description
A documentary/short that spotlights one extraordinary grandmother who is making a difference in other people's lives. A Precious Bond is a movie with real purpose-to acknowledge and honor the relationship between grandparent and grandchild; to encourage social justice through awareness that a child's liberty interests are at risk when the bond is broken. Disenfranchised grandparents are part of a growing population of loving grandparents who are unreasonably denied visitation with their grandchild by the parent(s) or custodial party. A Precious Bond follows Susan Hoffman on her quest to change the law, form a non-profit organization, originate a support group for grandparents and develop resources and write a book to help others. A Precious Bond will incorporate grandparents interacting with grandchildren, grandparents participating in home environment and groups setting, and speeches from experts in the field. The audience will witness joyful grandparents, who are involved and illustrating the perfect picture of grandparenthood; children will share admiration for grandparents. The other side is the disenfranchised grandparents featuring their actual stories filled with memories, and how through discovery of the support group they have developed coping skills and sometimes successful reunification with the alienated family.
